DEMETRA Project - Mentoring Workshop by Heraklion Chamber and Municipality of Minoa Pediadas, at the Pancretan Agricultural Exhibition of Arkalochori

A mentoring workshop for women who are or will be active in the agricultural sector was organized by the Heraklion Chamber in collaboration with the Municipality of Minoa Pediadas, during the Pancretan Agricultural Exhibition of Arkalochori on 27th July 2023.

During the workshop, presentations were made based on the training material of the DEMETRA project funded by Erasmus+ KA2 VET, which has a goal of increasing the participation of women entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector in the rural areas of the EU.

Women from the broader area of the Municipality of Minoa Pediadas, female farmers, members of women's associations and employees of agricultural cooperatives participated in the mentoring activity and received entrepreneurship guidance (mentoring). The mentoring was conducted by experienced entrepreneurship mentors in group sessions of 3-4 women, based on their status (professional farmers, cooperatives and associations etc.).

At the end of the event, the participants expressed their desire for more similar events.
